We found this in the NE Georgia area
Its a tad under 6 feet tall
The paddle end has a curve wear on one side suggesting it was used to stir against a rounded bottom, may be a still? which is common for the area
Dont know what the type of wood is
The lenghth and the handle end seems odd to me, I dont have a clue
Thanks for the help
Brady

So do we have a final check off on this?
Considering its hand made
no obvious hand wear
paddle edge is curved on one side
tee handle

the sides of the paddle are slightly rounded
BUT the base of the paddle edge has a definite taper but a sharp edge

The gypsy that sealed my driveway used something exactly like that to stir his watered down blacktop solution. Im changing my mind. Its a driveway sealer mixer. Im certain of it.

IM not sure if im allowed to do this
Im trying to repost, as I feel like I have something here
Sorry for the images as I was a rookie on this site, I've since learned better
Thought I would start fresh.
Not sure if I have the original pics as this paddle is in GA, at my parents cabin.
I was intrigued by the construction and more importantly, the odd angle on the edge of the paddle.
Was wondering if the worn edge might indicate it was used to stir mash in a still.
the shiny parts look like someone tried to treat the seam with some sort of glue or protectant
