I am wrought with stress as well as concern for Terri, Steve and Tabitha because I am still stuck here in Tennessee while my' 2009 Ford F-150 is getting repaired and they need help and protection. I took my' truck in yesterday to have them replace what they call the "Lead Frame Assembly Connector" (a little known part used in some previous recalls) which was supposed to be the cheaper route (around $600) for repairing the problem with the transmission internals not talking to the outside coupler which relays the information to the TCM (Transmission Control Module) and PCM (Powertrain Control Module) versus a whole Valve Body Assembly replacement (which also contains the same or similar part) at a cost of around $1600 total. However, the part did not fix the problem and although they believe it should have worked, they said it was primarily for the 2010 through 2014 Ford F-150's and they will study the part to find why it will not work on my truck's transmission. The good news is, the Service Manager at the Ford Dealership (Morristown Ford in Morristown, TN) stated that they were going to replace the whole Valve Body Assembly in my truck's transmission, that I will only have to pay the original stated (around) $600 cost and they will pay the rest from a Customer Satisfaction Fund that they use to fix customer's vehicles when they are dissatisfied with the repairs that were previously done and not up to their satisfaction. If anyone on Treasure Net ever finds themselves in need of repairs on their' Ford cars, trucks or SUV's, I recommend getting their' vehicle to Morristown Ford in Morristown, TN as they take good care of their customers.
Terri, Steve and Tabitha, I will call you later to update you on my situation here and to get an update on your all's situation there.
Frank
