Well, that has skyrocketed. According to my 2017 red book, there was a recent sale for $200,000.00. There were less than 3 dozen that were accidentally struck on bronze or silver planchets in error, thus making them valuable.
No mint mark on this one. If I remember reading about this right, the feds we're going to move the mint to another location from Sacramento. Sacramento didnt get the word in time on changing from copper to steel in time and had already minted several of the what are valuable Wheaties today. Collectors already have a number of these but a few are still in penny jugs somewhere. Maybe a member of the crew will get lucky.
