I take no issue with OP's picture. It's the masses that have to come in and tell you about all the snakes they have killed, will kill, want to kill. And I disagree with your moderation of insulting members:

Go back a little further and understand the whole thread. Your catching the end of it! You will also see a serious post where I said the same thing you did! The snakes usually go the other way! You will also see where I released the last snake I found outside the house in the woods! It hasn't been killed! Yet!

The whole issue started when someone else started insulting other members. I don't disagree with you one bit! You are presenting yourself different and not insulting! There is a difference!

The instigating comment was directed towards the choice of someone to carry a gun put down!

One of our church members is so paranoid, he can't go to football games anymore. Everytime they get into a huddle, he thinks they are talking about him. LOl....

I don't agree with how FreebirdTim handled this either. People get too heated when it comes to snakes, that's why I advocate the "just leave it alone". I volunteer my services to remove snakes that get stuck in the wrong place so that others will leave them alone.

I understand what you are saying! I wouldn't hunt them down! But, If i were to step over a log and get nailed by a diamond back or any thing else? I'm not going to go to the hospital without the snake! That might be my survival at that point. Situations are different, Every one lives in different parts of the country and different dangers. My passions aren't the same! So, my life or area will be above my likes of a snake! Doesn't mean I'm out slaughtering snakes either! But will not bother me if I feel the need to! No one else can make a safety decision in advance, in a forum, that may be correct for me or anyone else. Many were wiped out or thinned because people wanted their rattles! It wasn't all from fear of the snake! Timber rattlers were reintroduced in ohio. If I remember right, it was to control the turkey population.

If you have issue with moderation, please follow TN rules and handle it via PM...

Actually in that situation it would make no difference whether you brought the snake or not. In North America if you are bitten by a snake, you will be monitored for signs of envenomation. If you show signs of envenomation they may choose to ride it out if the case isn't severe or you will be treated with CroFab.

CroFab.com | Snake Envenomation Treatment Introduction

That's it. The snake will make no difference. In fact you may get bit a second time trying to kill the thing or transport it, in which case you will need more vials of CroFab, which aren't cheap.

Added note, in Florida state has paid for the capture or killing of Burmese pythons....

Have you been to some of the back woods hospitals? LOL I'm jkg I was always told to take the snake, spider, bug, that bit you for identification. That way it would help speed up the time of Identifying what bit you. Like, I said the whole thread is hypothetical. It's easy for all of us to say what we would do in certain situations, the truth is, when your scared, You will do things maybe you wouldn't normally do. Education helps, But even then, sometimes that gets tossed too.

In ohio, I don't think there is really anything life threatening in the woods for the most part. Well, until that guy let all his animals loose a few years ago.

Do not insult, mock or attack members here.

So the binkybaby icon wasn't mocking me?
