Selling/shipping of an illegal item..

I'm missing something. What does changing the title of the auction have to do with anything?
When you print an international label via ebay, the contents listed show as your ebay title listing for that item. If his title had red coral mentioned in it, then those words were also on his label. That could have thrown a red flag.

I have sent Jewelry and coins to the UK … Never had a problem … never knew there were problems … But then i do not send to the UK via Ebay .. i pack it up and take it to the post office .. and my descriptions are always sort of vague .. you know .. not clearly expressed…. never had a problem..

What is going to happen with your item?
it ends up on ebay. the gsp dumps them back under a specifix ebay account that i do not recall the name of. you see a lot of guitars due to having restricted woods in them.

WOW! Now I know why my customer in France is saying the $700 Silver Jewelry Lot I sold him is stuck in Customs! I thought he was trying to scam me. He asked if I could list the product as a "gift" since they are demanding $400 in taxes for it. He asked me to change it to gift AFTER it was stopped in Customs. Poor guy! I wouldn't change it to gift anyway, but I did change the title on the listing so that it would not be "stolen/lost" during transit. I didn't use GSP this time (didn't realize I hadn't made it a US only auction), so we shall see how eBay handles it once he files a case. And he will..because $700 is a lot to give up!
