Re: Show me your BEST/Fav. find so far this year!

Happy New year All!
IP, if I have to pick one, it's The NH Service in World War Cross.
Though not particularly old,
Its workmanship, Detail, condition, & History Make it My #1 :hello2:

it has insignia of all military branches & corps.
Also, I cannot find ANY web info on this Award :icon_scratch:

a nice example on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-HAMPSHIRE-W...652?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cb3d2c5ec

It was a tough choice but if only allowed to refind one. It would have to be finding the second small silver cache $ 14.00 face value a year and a day after finding the 5 and 3/4 lb stash of silver at the same site the year before ! I had pretty much given up on finding another cache and had already brought my new hunting partner GoldBill to this site and he will attest to the fact that the previous weekend he dug a silver pocket spill of seven coins 30 feet or closer from where I found the 2nd cache the following weekend ! This find did make the banner. Yet for some reason I do not get credit for making the banner with my second cache under my avatar .

Oh well still my favorite dig this year ! MaineRelic

sorry you said only one but it is difficult is like saying ... what of our son is the best?

Do not know which one, all are very dear to me, but these are special.
I put them in order of seniority.

And to think how little love that got when posted! :laughing7:

One of the top 10 buttons posted on here this year. (I'd easily call it top 5)

I would say the same but to each his own... At least I know how rare they are to come by...

I'm pretty sure I walked over that 2nd American but I didn't want to be the overbearing guest who finds all the good stuff!

My favorite find will probably be the oldest one I will ever find...piece of a bronze age sword. Found in England with my Etrac less than 6"down in a farm field.
