The reverse of the CT is totally toasted. It range up real low and feels kind of off. Also, he has an interesting snot running out of his nose. Counterfeit?

I know someone that knows CTs very well, so can ID the obverse.... just hope there was only one reverse die and then we can assume the variety. That's usually the way it works, but you are the exception to the rule with your last find! He's from NY so would probably be interested to see your other coin too, if Don hasn't shown him, because he did mention the name to me a few days ago.

If there's any detail on the reverse at all it's worth posting. CTs are not like King George coppers... always go with a CT being genuine because pretty much all of them are.

Nice finds.. Those are some cool old coins you dug up... Thanks for sharing..

Nice finds there and if you can take a picture of the reverse of the CT do so for the experts....

Good stuff. Your on a hot streak. Keep it going.

1788 Connecticut Copper - Miller 2-D With a quick look this seems to be it, Very Common for that year. :( Someone should double check this, since I am only going by the Obverse, but should be it.

I bet you're right, because I held off writing thinking it looked familiar and could be common, but I don't really have a memory for these so figured there was a better chance I was wrong than write. I'm guessing someone else dug one recently and it stuck in my brain. Like some of the rarest, only use of the dies so at least the coin is ID'ed... even if common.

Nice coins, CSHufflepuff! :) :notworthy: Go CTX go!

WTG CS! Love those CT's!
