Stone face? Found while hiking 30 years ago.

I've held onto this since I found it while hiking near Kutztown, PA approximately 30 years ago. It doesn't look like much until the light hits it right. That's how I found it. I saw a face looking at me from a slope. It's the lines etched into it at right angles, like crosshatching, at the place where an eye should be that seem so deliberate. Curious if I'm 'just seeing things?' Lol!

It looks like sandstone and that could easily have the scratches in it from a tree limb blowing back and forth across it.Or from many other scenario's I can see the face you speak of, but I do believe it is just a natural occurrence from Mother Nature.

I never looked at it from that orientation... went from happy face to scary skull face. I think it's going back outside.
