anytime home skillet

Dudes! I'm an old guy...can someone explain this thread to me...did somebody find a "home skillet" I found a piece of a skillet once, but I think it was a camp skillet, not meant for home use.

its an old word my man, has it's roots back in the old days. A frying pan, was a weapon, something that was looked down upon because it was not cleaned (old dan tucker, washed his face in a frying pan). the skillet, was the same thing as a frying pan but it was clean. well, since noone calls a frying pan a skillet any more, the warmth of the name has stuck' round, and when combined with home (such as in homie, home, homeslice), it becomes the equivalent of a good friend.
