I originally misunderstood. I thought John was saying its not necessary to post the green check. My bad, I editted the post.


You are getting me interested John but I really dont have the time lol. The new TN could become quite interesting.

I have an idea, Just listen.


The OP can post the green check at any time by his or her self but it takes 5 (or maybe even 10) outside members to post it. This would prevent mistakes and abuse.

What you think? Can this be implemented? I think this would solve the problem of non-checked threads and also minimize mistakes and complaints from the OPs that it was checked too quickly.

We can definitely implement a special group that has access to add the green check and remove it from other groups. The problem is there is no permissions in the modification we are using for the "thread starter" -- but we can perhaps modify the code. I can add that to the todo list but the list is long

Let's try it this way for a while and if we see some abuse we can make it TEAM only PLUS original poster... how does that sound? We can also get the team going now ahead of time if you want.

In all seriousness, we need a 'GRIPE" posting section for the purpose of venting...no reinventing...

In fact, I would like the opportunity to vent regarding a certain TN member's repeated topics that are totally without premise nor knowledgeable authority...yet it prevails...



Its comparable to a person finding a cowboy hat and who now thinks he's a full fledged cowboy, yet has no resume or ability to support the fact...

Sounds good. Maybe you are right. Try it your way to see if it works. My way was too much work constantly reminding everyone.

I cant help with the team. Too many personal problems.
