Alright. Duckshot's ducks are hot in the oven and it's time to make Grandma's secret gravy recipe. We need six cups of flour-

First I fill my nine cup measure and pour out four cups into the four cup measure leaving me with five cups in the nine cup measure. Then I pour our four of the five cups remaining in the nine cup measure into the four cup measure leaving me with precisely one cup in the nine cup measure. Now, I pour that one cup from the nine cup measure into the four cup measure leaving me with precisely three cups of empty space in the the four cup measure. Then I just fill the nine cup and subtract three cups using the four cup measure which has one cup in it.

As Grandma says, "Soup's on!" :laughing7:

Oh heck no!
:laughing7:
Ya'll need more than six cups of flour iffn ya's gotta run round circles like that! Ya'll need therapy.
And. You dirtied both cups!

I'd rather get in the car, and drive 40 minutes to the local malwart, and buy a darn measure then do THAT kind of math, lol!

When that darn kind of math
Washes Rusty's brain clean with total bath
Jumps in the car to get away
To Malwart just to waste the day
Should have got that Burma Shave!

Are you kidding me!? That kind of math can pay the bills!

If want to scribe a cord with a radius of 1,572' on the ceiling of a building's twelfth floor when the center of your circle is some where out in space thirteen floors above the street, you gotta know some math. Plus you get to eat that week. :laughing7:

Listen... part of the great thing with a map like that is... "the puzzle"... :)

See... these are most often "open for interpretation" as far as I am concerned anyway...

You have "theories" and sometimes facts that sorta blur the lines of reality so to speak.

In other words,,,

What you see is what you get :P

Besides...

If I told you... where would be the fun in trying to solve the riddle yourself... no "end gratification" for your own work would occur.

Kind of like...

Having someone else take your test for you :)

BUT !

I will give you a hint... of MY opinion...

The makers of the map knew what it meant :P

NO !

Just kidding...

BUT AGAIN ! ! !

The makers of the map... IMO... did highlight for a specific reason... TRY guessing... FIRST... THEN I will comment with another hint.

IF you take a moment and study the map... And ask yourself...

What do all the highlighted parts have in common ?

The answer to your "riddle" lies within this commonality.

:)

PS...

Sorry for the loooonnnggg winded response... but hey... I am waiting for food... so what the hell.

:P

Alright, I'll play your game, maybe I can learn something.

It's a topographical map of the Kingdom of Mexico and the Kingdom of Florida.

It's dated 1722 so it is before the Treaty of Paris (1763) and the Treaty of Fountainebleau (1762)

Wd... the question by RTR was pertaining to the "coloring" of certain places... not the map itself. :)

Does this map have something to do with the Quadruple Alliance?
