Emerald Falls is a small but striking 10-foot waterfall

located along Gorton Creek in the Columbia River Gorge near Cascade Locks, Oregon. The hike to Emerald Falls begins at the Wyeth/Gorton Creek Trailhead and follows a maintained, mostly flat path through lush, shaded forest. The trail features several gentle cascades and ends at the mossy, three-stream drop of Emerald Falls, surrounded by ferns and greenery.
NOTE: Emerald Falls is the new turnaround point for most hikers, since the old route continuing to Gorton Creek Falls is now considered unsafe and unmaintained.
Highlights:
- 1.4 miles roundtrip
- Lush forest and creek views
- Several small cascades
- Emerald Falls' unique three-stream drop
- Less crowded than other Gorge hikes
- Dogs allowed on leash

I would love to put a 4" dredge in that creek!!!!

15 is getting to be a wee bit expired for registration on the first craft.
I was looking for a safety chain but bad angle pic. Although a perfect angle for the street sign to indicate no walking on the bow.
Not to be confused with the no walking sign in the second pic..

Hey....I like our boat. You can be captain,... 🤔 ....no....on second thought by the time you talk your way through the registration and other things we'd be grounded and run ashore.

I was in that parade, high school jazz band.1979? I was a bass guitar player so they gave me..... a drum!! Watch out for horse shit..... We did not have "pirates" I didn't even think about pirates... oh no I never wanted to be a pirate!!!
