Ya we had a set of security ears.
Though we are pretty dark-street light quit working one stormy night.....
The next one is 100 yards away across from the shop.
No need to have a security light on all night.
Sometimes the rural is safer than the urban.

I saw him the other day in a small city 20 miles away.
I have totally dismantled a couple of squatters tents and camps over the years.
When they return there's no sign that they were ever there.
Must really screw with the frizzled brain.

Lost in the summer of 1733 in a hurricane that destroyed 21 Spanish galleons!! Found again in 2022 and rescued from the sands of time. Then the mount broke off in my hands while showering!! I got lucky a second time with this milled 8 reale !! At the end of one of my best hunts ever our crew had unearthed a little over 16 pounds of treasure coins, and many other artifacts in about 5 days !! One of the most incredible stories that hasn't been fully told yet !!

Acquire new hose washers for your washer. Don't expect garden hose washers to fit.
On the backside is your valve. A breakable valve. Attached are your lines. Ta daa!

For me to reach mine I crawl on top of the washer and lean over. Just enough room to reach with channel lock pliers and unscrew hoses.

Hot tip of the day. Turn off the water first!
Second hot tip of the day. Valves don't always shut off when you turn them off. Expect a leak.
In addition beware the hoses contain water and if you raise or lower one end of a water filled hose the water has to go somewhere...

Note which hose goes to hot and which one to cold. At supply valves and at washer valve.
Yes it is funny when the Mrs. gets cold instead of hot but she isn't the one who is going to fix it.

Removing one hose at a time can save later entertainment.
With luck and spare washers your hose washers won't need replacement. If you don't have spare washers you'll want them. That's how such things work.

In one or more ends of the hose you removed should be a screen. You know how screens work.
Debris will tell you if that is what is affecting your flow. It can also tell you about pipe scale and or pressure tank bladder condition ect.

Clean and or replace your hose screen.
At the valve on the washer your hose attaches too look for a screen. Clean it carefully.

My current home sat empty a year. Not a good thing for the water system.
The bladder in the pressure tank ruptured eventually. Scale was agitated throughout.
Washer slows it's water flow I crawl atop and can about do it blindfolded anymore.
Remove a hose , holding both ends even (ya right ) and don't scratch things up with a belt buckle.
Take hose to sink and reverse flush it. (Opposite flow direction than it had on the washer) . Check for scale build up on screen after.

Don't go crazy tightening hoses. You compress the washers like gaskets. Not flatten them until they shear.
Do be sure they are secure,. Then double check your work that they are secure.
Then when you are done run the fill and confirm there are no leaks. Being I can't see my valve from on top of the washer despite being able to fit my head over the edge I use paper towel to blot the sides of the hose ends. The supply valves wanting replacement (one leaks when closed) I can see. But after drying them off I blot them too to check.
Don't let hoses rub on anything. Against each other is better than against something unyielding or sharp though.

Well that all has been a bit of an anticlimax! Broken washer dryer red alert, sirens going off, scramble the jets, new ones ordered, and..............it took 10 minutes to fix.

Good morning everyone, supposed to get cold here this weekend. Low 40's along the coast & high 30's inland. Brrr! 🥶 I'll have to cover up the birds again. I was in a wreck yesterday. A woman changed lanes, problem was I was right next to her! I hit the brakes but she proceeded to drive forward and basically tore up the entire passenger side of her car. My front fender is beat up. She got a ticket so now I have to deal with getting my truck repaired.

That sucks. Good your ok 👍

I've run across half wits and dim wits but never seen a half lit / dim. Got a photo ?

I just recently had 2 smaller go bad... 11ish years old perhaps.
They were half lit / dim... was weird and looked almost sketchy.

Floodlights outside... 2 going on 11 years but come on with movement.
1 Flood stays on all night... this is a replacement ... prolly 8 yo now.

Converted all lights over 11 years ago.

They are trying to mover it in to the sea without damaging it.... My thought is whats the ocean doing to it now ? There is a specialist marine recovery or something planning.....figuring....standing arounding.... I hope it's insured !!
