4 wheel drive button is on the dash... gas is on the right...Did the auction pickups in the city which already was a nice 46F.
Got back and had a thought regarding the treed Tundra.
Got the 3000 Ford tractor and tried to do something but all I could do is lift the rear end off the ground. (tuff tractor)
So I went and got this cable that was in an auction lot a while back. 3/8" big hook on the one end. 75+ ft long. hooked to the plow frame, around a tree back to the tractor.
Then put it in high reverse, had a good 35-40 ft run. Secret is prepare for the lurch.
1st yank-off the tree, 2nd yank-truck on the trail, 3rd it was a foot away.
Little duct tape and that mirror is back on (minus a little plastic) I'll get some black tape to really show off.
The passenger window does clunk going down, might have to pull the dent out a tad.

I have enough maple syrup from last year to get me through to next year. So I'm not going to busting my nards trying to plow the sugar bush lanes.New truck time !! Just wait for the thaw !!

Haven't squinted enough to see any sap.
Sporadic probably.
Squirrel(s) gnawed a ring of bark off around a knot on a sugar maple out back. I haven't noticed any staining yet. Or squirrels paying it more attention.
Did see a squirrel drinking out of a tire this morning before our snow tonight.
I better do something with the tire before mosquito egg laying time.
Past the upcoming mid week it should start warming good.

An article online states about a dozen miles away had a great (hundreds of gallons)sap collection this morning. l.o.l..

Went for a walk (slog) around the sugar bush trail loop yesterday with the Mrs. What goes down has to go up, foot trail made now.
Got to love it when I hear "You go first" I was brought up always letting a woman go first.
Times a changing I guess, then again size 13 vs a 6, ok I get the message.
Ok deer-right
2 sets of tracks 1 big-1 smaller, had a meet up, pawing on the snowbank, many prints-WAIT A MINUTE.
Did they do the dirty right there on my trail?
Little late to have a meet up one would think.
