1971 Chevrolet Corvette LS-5 454 365 HP. War Bonnet Yellow featured on many Hot Wheels Corvettes. Correct numbers matching engine. TH 400 transmission. Good interior Does not run, been sitting since 2007, or 2017, its unclear. Engine does not turn over. Will need towed. $15,500.

Damn ! I'm really thinking about this one. They claim 37,224 original miles. This is a survivor !!

I'm not liking the rust I'm seeing...BUT if and only IF the engine is not seized and can be rotated by hand would I consider buying, if restored the original engine, transmission, etc. would greatly increase the value.

Agreed, but the only way to know is to get in there and try to crank it. Still,
if it is froze up it's possible it's rebuildable, still maintaining the original block
and possibly even the crank. Can't know that without a full tear down.

Sometimes it's just a crap shoot... but that's OK, 'cause were spending OV's $$$

For 15 they can keep the rotted thing.

454 With A/C. Dog all day.

Snorkel has no lead at intake. General under the hood non rammed air is what feeds the filter housing? Not that you declared an attempt was to be made to salvage the engine but running it cold and no heat from manifold just ran it cold longer instead of getting fuel at/in carb up to most efficient temp. And then how was it regulated? (Maybe heat riser is on driver side unlike 350's.)

Someone just had to invert the air filter cover. How sporty. Now dust can be sucked in like a nonfiltered blower with vacuum for propulsion. Maybe we can generate some PCV air wash on some valve too .

Prestone flush kit. We're moddin now... Brake fluid leaking at reservoir maybe.

Around 1981 a friend put his high school and since immaculately maintained 68 (?) Chevelle across the street from where I lived then and it sold to the first bidder. If I recall correctly it was for 3 grand.
It was a very nice car. A+ type nice. Most visits he was either cleaning or polishing or working under the hood. And when not actually working under the hood cleaning and polishing under the hood. .
He and a neighbor (and more rarely I ) raced on the too busy street.
He bought a Vette and proceeded to get his butt whipped over and over.
Last I saw him he was driving a mildly powered Mustang.
Still bitter he'd sold his Chevelle.

A former co-worker s Vette project seemed to stall at replacing all body seals.
I think he had the right replacements figured out at our last contact time?

My friend who moved out of state has collected some Vettes.
His grandson in sight received one for his graduation.
It's loud.
I haven't looked it over lately to see if it's complete yet.( If complete even matters.)

New project ! Drove to Grant Pass this morning and broke my record for "time on the 199" !!!
I found a video made by scaredy cats ! At least they used the turnouts....

We got our fruit trees pruned. Then did some logging to get the skidsteer down the hill. Cleaned up some, got 20 aluminum rims cleaned and loaded on the trailer.
Snow is melting fast.
