We didn't take any pics yesterday, but we did go to the best church that we have found. We talked to the Boss and petitioned him on your and Christy's behalf.

I know it is a tough time for you right now buddy. The Boss is still in control, and until we receive our new bodies, there is going to be sickness and disease in our old bodies. It doesn't mean that the Boss doesn't love us, it just means that because of Adam's sin in the garden, our bodies are cursed.

Hold on strong to your faith my friend. Life is not fair, but the Boss will take care of those who love him and live their lives for him. He has made a much better place for us. A place where sadness, sickness and disease have no part.

The adversary is telling you things that are contray to the Boss's book. Don't listen to him. He is here to kill, steal and destroy!

The Boss loves you and Christy, and we love you too. Whatever happens, we will be here for you my friend.

Here is another shot of the canyon below me.
What looks like a trail in the bottom is the small creek that has over the Milena carved out this beautiful place.

As you go back into the canyons they just get deeper and more spectacular.
Doug took this picture and It was one that just wanted to be shared.
This is the upper canyon where we have been having such fun lately.

The last couple days would change your mind.
A front came thruogh on Friday and by Sunday night we had a full blown dust storm.
Visibility was down to 300 yards at times.

These canyons see the worst of it, this is where the dust comes from.
it penetrates every thing and sometimes I think it will even settle inside of a light bulb

It isn't uncommon out here to have sustained wind of 35 mph with all that dust in the air,
you go out only when necessary and find out that your car only has paint on one side.

The kind of thing an insurance company calls "An act of God."

I suppose so...

Wonderful thread Thom. I could probably fill 3 pages of pics of western Montana. I love taking pictures too. The Boss has blessed me also in living in such a beautiful area.

Here is a shot of one of the Spanish trails from up above on the canyon ledge.it is quite evident all the way through this canyon. It was so heavily traveled in it's time that nothing grows on it today.
Doug took this one and several like it to show the actual path of travelers through this country.

that is an awful long time for nothing to grow!

It is so clean and clear that sometimes a modern hiker will use the trail for a ways just to see the sights.
I doubt if any of them have a clue how it got there. There are several that are visible and are quite easy to follow. even if you are above where regular folks might go to recreate. And even at the higher altitudes where traffic is non existant the trails are open and just as clear from vegetation.
