Re: Today's thought

Yes, old friends is always best, 'less you can catch a new one that's fit to make an old one out of.

"False friendship, like the ivy, decays and ruins the walls it embraces; but true friendship gives new life and animation to the object it supports."

Re: Today's thought

"Truth does not become more true by virtue of the fact that the entire world agrees with it,
or less so even if the whole world disagrees with it."

Re: Today's thought

The only thing to do is to HUG one's friends tight and do one's job.

Even if the hugs are long distance!

Re: Today's thought

Have you ever wondered if the bills in your wallet were ever in a strippers butt crack?

If not, you're wondering now.

Have a nice day .. :)

Re: Today's thought

Quote of the Week
"Once each May, amid the quiet hills and rolling lanes and breeze-brushed trees of Arlington National Cemetery, far above the majestic Potomac and the monuments and memorials of our Nation's Capital just beyond, the graves of America's military dead are decorated with the beautiful flag that in life these brave souls followed and loved. This scene is repeated across our land and around the world, wherever our defenders rest. Let us hold it our sacred duty and our inestimable privilege on this day to decorate these graves ourselves -- with a fervent prayer and a pledge of true allegiance to the cause of liberty, peace, and country for which America's own have ever served and sacrificed. ... Our pledge and our prayer this day are those of free men and free women who know that all we hold dear must constantly be built up, fostered, revered and guarded vigilantly from those in every age who seek its destruction. We know, as have our Nation's defenders down through the years, that there can never be peace without its essential elements of liberty, justice and independence. Those true and only building blocks of peace were the lone and lasting cause and hope and prayer that lighted the way of those whom we honor and remember this Memorial Day. To keep faith with our hallowed dead, let us be sure, and very sure, today and every day of our lives, that we keep their cause, their hope, their prayer, forever our country's own." --Ronald Reagan

Happy Memorial Day guys.
Don't let them be forgotten.

They are the generous ones.

How do ya determine this , OD ?
Do ya lick it for taste ? Do you sniff it for smell ? Do you hold it up to the light to check for unusual stains ? ....................or .....
Do ya recognize the serial number as one that you could never have won at 'Liars Poker' with so just went ahead and stuck it wherever the gal told ya to stick it ?
Just curious in a friendly way .... your buddy

Re: Today's thought

Gosh, I have never put paper money in body parts.
Now coins - um , we will not go there either.
Some strange thoughts here...

Thought of the Day

Children need to be fed, watered and clothed.
To not raise a psychopath, they need to know love.
Is as simple as a smile. A little talk.
I just came back from a place today where kids have been sent because their parental unit has been incarcerated or died.
Babies and up to 5 yrs. old. What a way to be. I felt so bad for them.
My oldest son is in another country with the military fighting to help those people and here in America we have orphans too.
I felt happy/sad to bring a smile to a young child by simply talking to him.

Share yourself.
Say hello to folks. Recognise that they are alive.
The young and old and in between all need that.

Re: Today's thought

for animals there is no good or evil -- since they do not have the ability to "reason" --- only mankind has the ability to "reason" --thus we do know the differance between doing good and evil --- this is called a "wisdom" ---and a wise man is one who stays on the side of good in the struggle between the two.

Re: Today's thought

dare to think outside the box -- the tv is a great "brain washer" --- a little box of wires that trys to tell you what and how to think -- so be very very careful of believing what it says , is the "truth" --as its merely the "truth" from the person telling it on the tv's point of view.

Re: Today's thought

Getting up at 3am and driving 2hours then sitting in a waiting room of a hospital tends to rob the mind of thought! :tongue3:

Re: Today's thought

Just because you live with animals, doesn't mean you have to become one. :icon_scratch: :help:
