Some of these images are what i call ¨gateways¨ and iḿ not sure those hold the same meaning as the shaft symbol you are showing, but what you are showing i have seen in Arkansas and Oklahoma as well...so it is worth working together to help figure out its significance. Keep it coming.

That is very helpful sandy. Thanks for sharing. What about a horizontal shafts. Have you seen this in the form of trees?

Sandy, in your photos I was noticed the shadow figures. Do you give them any value?

The heart is also a hound dog and a goose. Turn 90°left for the goose. It pointing up in picture.

I've also noticed that the heart is sometimes a mouse or rat. They are known for stashing their goods. There is one to the left made from the shadow. It has a hat over it. Have you ever payed any attention to them?

As far as the shafts sign. Do you know if they used the 7 and a backwards 7 as a shafts sign? Thanks Sandy for sharing your knowledge

Going back to the mine shaft sign. In my experience, horizontal gateways have led to entrances or vaults that are horizontal. Iḿ wondering if vertical ones lead to mines that are vertical...or dug down? Also, I have not found relevance on size, but rather height...as far as the lower it is=the closer you are. Does this fit with your findings?

I see the heart below that different type one you just posted Sandy1
