All Treasure Hunting
In an effort to stymie the winter doldrums, TH is allowing me to hold a simple contest. So here's how it is going to work;

I have selected a number between 1 - 300 and the first person to guess that number wins a free book, Florida's East Coast Gold & How You Can Find It. (Seeker41 is keeper of the selected number.)

Rules: Only one guess per person per day. And, you must also include either a picture of a find, your equipment, or a word or two of treasure hunting wisdom. Should be fun and entertaining and might help to keep hunters inspired through these winter months. :thumbsup:

You can tell how far away lightning is by the sound in your detector. When you hear chirp pay attention, when you hear crackle get off the beach.

224 keep picking numbers you might win a interesting book

245 Always check your hole twice when you hunting beach sand or grass.

298 Always look for interesting shaped rocks of color, and keep the coil flat and close to the sand without touching it until you uncover something that sounds good.

Folks,

Wisdom: Like my friend Jim from Brooklyn used to say "some days you're the dog....other days the fire hydrant....lol.

Another find I came up which I think is kind of unique.....Allen Steamship Lines employee badge....circa 1915 or earlier.

Regards + HH

Bill
