I can't believe that I got another ring. It still amazes me that people lose these items! And I can't believe another detectorist did not get it first! Something even funnier is I found more clad in the wet sand than the dry sand. The ring inside is labeled as follows:

TRITON
TUNGSTEN CARBIDE
TC.850 (not sure what that means)???
Pat. No 7.761.996

Still can' believe it!!!

Still new to metal detecting and that is exactly what i have heard! Does this require going into the surf during low tide or will they also be found in the wet sand? I really dont like going into the water any more than a foot deep. Plus the water is difficult to work with the tide here on the west coast!

found a couple of Triton's this year - they go off good and look good in the scoop - even feel good weight wise
just wish they all could be gold or platinum

Congrats on another ring find!

Treasures are to be found most anywhere at the beaches; I like to go out onto the "muddy flats" at low tide; and also about a foot deep after that( afraid of deep water); also the wet sand slope works well for me...and of course those rocky areas where the treasures get caught in between rocks and seaweed.

Good luck...you're on a roll now.

Goes to show.....
It's never totally found. How many guys worked right over it? Could it have been droped recently? or maybe worked its way up with a big storm?
So many questions raised and it makes you put the thinking cap on full force. That's the fun of this game.
Nice ring.
Get some more.
