This coin will just not clean up. The pits in the surface will only get worse if cleaned. However, ARC's suggestion might lead to a better result, maybe.
They come easier now that you have one. Go find another in some mild soil!

Congrats for the awesome Morgan, CC mint to boot! I've been at this for 32 years and have yet to find one, so you see how rather rare it is. if you're looking to sell it, I wouldn't clean it, just ensure you mention the conditions under which you found it and that you're selling it as is. Even in grade G, it retails about $150. I sell many found coins with that terminology, and you'd be amazed at what people will pay. GL going forward!

Found my first MSD. Was on the beach in an area known historically for fishing docks and likely a Chinese shrimp camp. My guess it was dropped from the docks into the sand or water. Carson City mint mark. What should I do with it? What do you think it's worth in this grade?
From the app CoinSnap it’s saying it’s worth $126 in the condition with CC mark.
It’s not 100% accurate, but they get it pretty close.
Nice score!
Found my 1st Morgan Dollar 1890 O early this year.

Congrats on a great coin. Personally I would keep it. I've never even cosidered selling any of my finds. I like to take my coin books out every once in awhile and have a look.
