Inletsurf . I did never ask for a retainer fee , nor did I ask for travelling costs . Are you sure you reread the message correctly ? Or do you only want to start an argument . Cornelius

I'm just pointing out the irony of your comment....It was entertaining. Don't worry, I still consider you the celebrity guest of honor at the cookout, not that twomtns guy.

Inletsurf . OK no hard feelings from my side . I am just an old , regular guy with some stories to tell , but certainly no celebrity . I hope we will all have a good time . Cornelius

As am I....... :icon_thumright:

I am Scotch and Irish mix too! My Dads side is Scotch-McAdoo and my moms side is Irish-Moriarity. I dont even like whiskey or any of those types though. Being just about raised and grown in the Bahamas, I really like rum.

Although I like Rum, I am a "Scotch Man".... Chevis and soda with a twist of lemon......Been drinking scotch since I was 20 years old in the USAF.... The colonel I worked for took me out when we first got to Okinawa in 1968, he told me "Marty I will buy all your drinks when we are out, but I drink scotch and I only buy Chevis Regal Scotch so you need to acquire the taste". Love it..... :icon_thumright:

TH, You definitely had a good boss!

I have worked for some bad ones and good ones, and a few great ones... Col Crandel was a great one. :icon_thumright:

Short story...... I worked for Air Force Inteligence, while stationed at McCoy AFB here in Orlando a large part of my job involved working with "Oprational War Plans", due to the cold war we changed them every 6 months. Many times I was required to work 12 hours a day 6 days a week, or 9 on, 3 off, my First Sgt and I did not get along, he was constantly putting me on barracks duty cleaning and I would be late to my real job. About the third time I was late the Col called me into his office and asked me what was going on as I was usually early to work and so I told him.

The Col called my First Sgt on the phone with me in the room, he told him the next time he puts me on barracks duty or harresses me in any way, shape or form at all, he was going to have him reassigned to Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska and if he thought he didn't have the power to do it then just try him....

I was never on barracks duty again............

Rum is good!

I finally have that weekend off, I will definately make this trip!

The cookout is now only four weeks away.
Debbie and I have made deal today for Cecil's Texas Style BBQ to come out with their giant smoker to do the ribs and chicken. We'll use the smaller grills for hotdogs and burgers. Fisheye said he'll bring oysters again. Plus I have some offers to help out with food and stuff.
We also made arrangements for a dude that plays steel drums to show up.
Pretty soon, I'll need to know who's committed to make it so I know how much food will be needed. We're looking forward to seeing everyone here!

Any dancing girls? :laughing7:

I will be there, my sweetheart may be coming, but I will know soon enough and get back to you. As for my fellow cohorts, they will have to speak for themselves.
