Got this in a couple hours down at the creek. Panning and sniping. I didn't stay long because the water temp was in the 30s my hands and feet were really numb =P it was really worth it though!

Great looking gold,,,I too made my own hand dredge out of PVC and it works great, and what, way less than $10.00...

Did you make yours that goes into a bucket or just into the tube??

Just into the tube but there's a short tube that comes off of the side of it and that's where the material gets caught. I just set the bucket right next to me and put the material in as I go. I tried making one with a hose going to the bucket but it didn't work out too well.

No I'm not in a club. I've been going alone lately.

That pan was worth a little frost bite!

Try a dime next time. Those pickers will look huge.:laughing7:

Nice spot your working
Steve

I was shoveling the overburden into a bucket and panning it out until I was on bedrock then I used a viewer and tweezers to scratch out the crevices then I used a hand dredge to suck up what I couldn't pick up with the tweezers.

Looks like we have the makings of a truly successful prospector. You obviously did research on location, you are a good tinkerer (built own hand dredge),
use minimal equipment to have success, not particularly a joiner, use innovative methods (the "viewer"), willing to endure conditons - Congrats! expect
to see many posts of future successes:icon_thumright:

Thats a hell of a take man great job! After a couple hours of findin nothin I usually break out the fly rod and get skunked fishin lol. My day will come though I guess.

When to spend a few good hours!!!

Hell yeah nice work!!! Can you please tell us how much it all weighed out to be? I agree with not putting a coin next to it, makes it all look like big ol' chunkies;). Keep it up and HH. Oh, and quit taking my gold please haha.
