ALMOST GOT STABBED TODAY....Over 15 cent basically...

Went to metal detect a house that i had detected bout 4 or 5 times..yes i had gotten a permission form the guy who was cutting the grass....i just asked one day while passing...dude said shi go ahead i dont care..ok today this dude drives thru and approachs me with a knife....talking bout why you at my grandmother house detecting...i told him politely dude that cuts the grass told me it was cool...so this dude ask me who i am..i told him who i be...i tell him homie you aint gotta approach me like that....so he says get off the property....i do..while the whole time watching the knife in this dudes hand....one wrong move and i promise you he would have had sume trouble...with my shovel...so while im leaving...i tell this dude...i understand this your peeps house..but you aint gotta approach me like that...you should check your grass cutter..he was like what you mean...shi somebody been coming here stealing copper...then he calls sumeone and they like..you not suppose to be on the property...if you dont leave in 10 secs the police coming..so i was like yes ma'am...i asked the grass cutter and he said it was cool....i told him homie i metal detect...i dont do **** like that...so **** it i leave...this dude following me homie and e'thang..when im in front of my house he pass thru...im like this where i stay....sume people ignorant minded ass ****...same thing happen before ol' guy gave me permission...female rides thru this my house what you doing here....i say mr.XXX...said it was cool.....she calls her uncle...he says yes i told him it was okay...she apologizes and ask me to watch the house for her...which is 2 houses over...this **** getting to be dangerous.. people alway wanting to get brolic before they get understanding....thats how alotta **** happen...and i promise you it wasnt gon happen to me...over sume misunderstanding...

dude approached me the wrong way doe...its a right and a wrong way to handle a situation...it was manless of him to approach me with a knife....as soon as i saw it my prison mentallity kicked in..."focus...protect and destroy"....i dont try to injure i try to kill...when im threatin'....thats what i've always lived by thats what prison taught me....i didnt disrespect homie...not becuz i was afraid but becuz im a man...and i understood it was his family's property....but if he would have pointed that knife my way any type of way....hey i would've caught a murder charge today....not acting all bad or anythang...but what the ****....a knife...
im more interested with whats in the ground....he just didnt know doe...the whole time that shovel was cocked and loaded....with a target focused on his throat....then the dude said it was stolen awhile back...couple years i think thats what he said..**** i started detecting 6mons ago....before that i was a straight home body type dude....

My last thoughts on this. 35 years ago I went to jail, not prison but jail. Was not a great experience and saw some things I wish I did not. I did a couple years altogether. It gave me ALOT of time to think and reflect on where I was going. My big vice was alcohol, never got arrested when I was sober EVER. I made a lot of decisions while I was in there, first was to quit drinking and to this day alcohol has never touched my lips since. I also did the GED and not only that but I taught myself through reading. You see it is nothing to be proud of when you say you are not educated, a real education cost NOTHING. You only need the will to learn and to better yourself. And one of the BIG things I learned was how important communication is. You cannot get forth your thoughts and ideas to others if you do not have a means to properly communicate. I know a lot of guys who came from the "hood" and some of those same people amaze me on not only how well spoken they are but their awareness that to get their point across they need to recognize how well their communication is being received. When you say "this is who I am" then that tells me that you have given up on yourself, you see no need to improve upon yourself and you are not open to learning new things. Yeah I make a lot of assumptions but in my 54+ years I have become pretty good at reading people.
You can laugh this off all you want but at the end of the day it only shows that you did nothing but waste your time making this post. First off you have spent more time AFTER the post trying to explain to everyone what you were trying to say. Next time you have a face to face conversation with someone try this, look them in the face while you are speaking, if they have a puzzled look on their face then there is a good chance that you are not coherently getting your point across.
Hey you might be a great guy and you might even be a pretty smart guy but you certainly did not show it anywhere in this post. And you have to be not all bad, you are a detectorist after all.
Learn the English language like you have learned that big list of detectors listed in your profile and you would be doing much better.

Believe me, I am not perfect, far from it BUT I do try to do something every day to improve myself. I went from a homeless drunk to a guy who has raised a family went to college, have a good paying job, compete in triathlons and a ton of other rewarding things but I had to go out there and get it and be willing to take chances and learn. I sincerely hope the same for you.

From reading this I would say you just got your cherry popped in an Almost Life Threatening Situation; that is unless you panic write like that all the time.

Fact is it happens, and what is done is done.

Thing about getting permission is that it really does not matter if the land owner or person who is legally looking after the property did not give it to you.

For example; you have my permission to go MD the grounds at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave in DC. See my point.

Now for future issues if you ever feel threatened then call the police, but keep in mind that in this situation it legally could have been turned around on you, where you could tell the police you want to press charges but that person could have you trespassed, sue for damages and claim their life was threatened.

Make sure you speak with owners in the future.

Number one, we're glad to have you here with us, both as a member, and as your escape from a very uncomfortable experience.

I had a very difficult time reading your initial post, had to keep stopping to translate. I'm sorry as I only speak three languages, I'm unfamiliar with today's street talk. And certainly there are very few members here who've ever heard street talk. So it certainly diverted from your story. In fact it put more attention on the author than it did the story.

Keep the faith, keep searching (intelligently), and please stay with us here. I'd say there's a real good chance you might teach us something.

Please be patient with the several objections I've seen - you used "shock & awe" and much of the point was missed.

Great story once I was able to put all the pieces together. I used to live in Detroit - there was no way I was going into the hood hunting. The last year I worked in South Detroit, there were 6 killed within a block of where I worked - the last being a co-worker.

You may live there, but there's NO ONE safe there. Looks like you need to be a tad more careful as well.
