Yesterday I went back to the small town where I hunted a sidewalk tearout a few weeks back. Well now they scraped the entire curb strip off about 6" deep!!!!

yesterday was the best day, got 6 indians, 9 wheats, 3 silver 1892 and 1902 barbers, 1916 merc, and 1887 V nickel. Today was nothing to complain about but not quite as stellar. Today netted me 3 buffalo nickels, 4 more wheats, 2 more indians, another barber dime and a soap token. Pretty good hunt both days!

now in 3 weeks I have dug all 1916 merc dimes how nuts is that!???
8-27-11 dug the 1916-D
9-11-11 dug the 1916-S
9-14-11 I dug the 1916 plain.....good thing I got the "D" first...lol

this year I am at 157 silver, 94 indians (my goal is 100!!!)

spread out, some spots better than others

My friends eyballed one of the soap tokens at the worksite in downtown Denver, and several have shown up here in the last couple of weeks. Somebody did a great job promoting Palmolive.

I am a believer and am keeping an eye out for side walk tearouts.

That's a nice haul there!

I love sidewalk tear outs! I've found most of my best finds at them. Congrats and WTG!

I guess I will answer this since I dont see it either. He didnt find the 1916-d today, he found it at the end of august I believe. the 1916 he found today was plain, as seen in the pic.

Congrats on those finds goes4ever, makes me glad I just got the Etrac, maybe with a little practice (or alot). I will be able to pull finds like you do someday.

Chris.

Great job. Those types of excavations offer some great opportunities.
