I turned 53 last weekend. I started 3 years ago.

The next door neighbor boy got a dectector in about 1972... we were both 8 years old. We dug holes all over our yards for a couple of days, then the parents took the metal detecotr away and hid it! I think that they got us a go kart next, that also got taken away shortly there after. I wonder what ever happened to all the cool stuff that got taken away...
