Hey everyone, well, just got home with 8 of my 12 boxes for today, 1 box I got was a little older and beat up looking and this is what I saw when I opened it! Yup, that is a 1899 Barber Half ender!!!!! 2 Walker enders! and 2 more enders! total of 5 enders and 1 that is a proof ( finger pointing it out) that I am hoping is Silver. I have a lot to search today and reroll so I probably won't post results till late tonight. I am hoping there is more than just the enders in this box, lol. HH, Maverick.

I've never done that to a coin but it works great on relics I dig.

Nice box, Maverick! If only those coins could talk.....congrats!

If they could, I'm sure they would either say "HELP I'M DROWNING! HELP MEEEEEE... blub, blub, blub" or "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I'M ON FIRE!!!!!!". :laughing7:

Great box!

maybe they are getting new old boxes in or old new? LOL Keep em' comin!

Can I coin the term "coin porn" LOL

Wow maverick!!!

Very nice!!! Ugly coins, but its still silver!!

Still waiting for a walker or barber ender :) or even a barber alone... been 2+ months since ive gotten a walker too

If the Walking Liberties are all common dates I'd probably try to clean them up or look into acetone or a non-rubbing way to remove the staining. The Barber I'd hold off on until you can find the least-value depreciating method and tested with the 64s or common WLs.

Hey Mav, sweet box! I don't think any of those ugly coins have numismatic value, so clean the heck out of them! Thanks for sharing! hope the remainign boxes were good too,

Congrats Maverick, you earned it with the volume you do. Try soaking the coins in acetone 1st. Baking soda might scratch them.

Someone had suggested warm hydrogen peroxide and a cu-tip(spelling) for copper coins. It might work on silver too although i never tried it. Heat up some peroxide, drop the coin in the warm hydrogen peroxide, then go over it gently with a cu-tip. Then rinse with distilled water.

Silver can be cleaned without scrubbing with aluminum foil salt and baking soda. If you google it will tell you how to do it. Just have to dip em and tarnish is transferred to foil

Look to me to have been in water for a period of time, they look and feel as if I could just rub them with a little baking soda and water and they'd clean up, not sure though, still debating that. HH, Maverick.

Great score Maverick!!! What about soaking it (in vinegar?) on top of aluminum then adding baking soda. Supposedly that causes a chemical reaction and doesn't remove the top layer of silver. HH

Solid work! I'd be talking about that box for a long time.... If I talked about CRH that is....

Hey everyone, didn't finish all the boxes last night( 2 left and there was nothing special in the others, and I got to go and check some accounts today and dump 10 boxes right now and pick up 4 more so I will check in later, thanks for looking and good luck to everyone hunting today! HH, Maverick.

:hello2:Ok, well, not the dream box I was hoping for, but an AWSOME box none the less, I ended up with 13 90's and 26 40's...

It almost sounds hard to reconcile 13 90's and 26 '40's not being a dream box, but I know what you mean. I agree that it was an awesome box indeed!

Congrats!

Might not be the "Dream" box you were hoping for...But It would be a dream for me...Great Finds man!..congrats!
