For non-rock hunters - you can google Folsom Point and find lots of information about them They right around 10,000 years old. In the infancy of archeaology as a science all fluted points were commonly refered to as 'Folsom points'. From a craftsmanship, utilitarian and artitistic point of view they are amazing points. And not to cheaped the find by bringing money into it, but points like this often bring several to many thousands of dollars and can reach into 5 figure range. I only bring the money side up because when I see button's or civil war relics or european artifacts that I know little about it's something that crosses my mind. It doesn't measure rarity but it can provide some information on collectability. For what it's worth I've never bought or sold an artifact. For artifact hunters in the southwest US this is the holy grail. It's a remarkable find.
