Well i must say this is my best find so far :hello2:
Went back out to my favorite cellar of all time.. last year we pulled over 120 buttons and relics off this site :icon_thumleft:
This time i brought the 5 inch dd coil
I was sitting here thinking about this site and realized i never hit around the cellar with a small coil :icon_scratch:
So off into the deep woods i went..Right away i started pulling buttons left and right i couldnt believe
what i missed me and my friends have hit this site hard..
Right outside the stairs was a medium sized tree i found a Largie next to last time :icon_thumleft:
I was scraping the leaves away and hit real close to the tree and locked on a solid 79-80..
When i flipped it out i thought it was a foreign coin because i could see writing along the edge but was like wow this is a big coin :icon_scratch:
Then i brushed the dirt and seen the word "President" and immediatelly knew :o
My heart was in my stomach and i paced in circles looking at it :headbang:
It does have some damage and is missing the shank but hey,im stoked 8)
I included some finds from this site last year
After all the people i took here i am so glad i found it
This is why we do what we do

Blaze

jb, that is an outstanding find, Banner for sure.

You need to keep that small coil thing a secret.

thats awesome blaze! nice relics from button city. i know someone who runs there pin pointer along the perimeter of the cellar hole and does well. willy

Awesome find! I have been wondering what kind of signal it would give 79,80. Those are great digging numbers, again fantastic find and banner vote is in!

Whoa! Super Duper Holy Grail Button Find :o
what an amazing pile of Colonial relics :D
great work on locating and effectively working that site :hello2:
Another vote here

CONGRATULATIONS! "The Hogge" :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Gotta like that. I wouldn't worry about the slight bend, and the shank really doesn't matter... it's a good one!

:icon_scratch: damn , what did I do with that flux capacitor :dontknow: I was getting close to going back to George's Inaugural to get some buttons ::) :laughing7: Congrats on The Banner Find :occasion14: dawg

Wow!!!! Congratulations on the spectacular find!

This has inspired me. I'm putting on the 5 inch coil and going to hit my first cellar hole again! ;D

That is way cool!

Great find! :icon_thumright:

I would go back there and hunt all metal and dig EVERY signal until there wasn't a single blip of sound left.

Then................I'd get myself a MineLab 5000 and start over!! :headbang: :laughing9: :laughing9:

Alright Blaze ! One of the Holy grail buttons :icon_sunny: We will see if one GW button pushes the other off the Banner ?? My Vote is in :icon_thumleft: ! Between Heavymetalnuts three and others that have posted them fairly recently I hope the banner gods are not tired of looking at these ! Banner Find my friend ! Congrats on your Rhode Island Treasure ! M.R.

WOW! What an great haul! You got my Banner vote.

Excellent GW button, excellent finds & excellent colonial site! Some of my sites have continued to produce for three or fours years. I was wondering if there are woods surrounding your cellar? If there are, i would certainly start moving out into the surrounding area(s) for as far as I could go.

Great old stuff! The GW button is high on my wish list of things I would like to dig. That's a banner find all day long. You got my vote. Congrats! DD.
