I picked these up a little over a yr ago. The walker was $1200 and the standing was $800. The walker is 1/2 oz and is now over $2K. You have to spend money to make money.View attachment 2229176
True but you also gotta sell the gold to realize the paper dollar profit. And those would be tough to part with.

Yes, no getting around it. Even though we can use our detectors to find money i.e., coins, gold/silver jewelry, valuables, etc., before we can find that money, we first have to spend money on a detector, scoop, pinpointer, related gear, etc., lol.

I paid $717 for my walker half ounce coin. I never pulled the trigger on the SLQ quarter ounce or the 1/10 merc dime coins....dang it.
They are making them again next year for the 250 anniversary

Put everything investable in PMs a little over a year ago. 40% to 60% so far. Some forcasters have gold at 5k by years end, 7$k in 5 years.
So when do I cash out and retire ?

Just retired at 62, back to looking for cool rocks for fun and profit.
Yeah I was being facetious… I retired 2 years ago with VA and SS benefits 🤷🏼‍♂️ more time to find treasure 🤣

I remember in the late 70's and early 80's when the Hunt Brothers hoarded Silver and it hit $50 . . . and then . . . POWIE! Big crash. Good news for us as I worked at a company which used lots of Silver Nitrate in the process. Went back to the $7 to $10 range for some time. Lots of money to be had, and lost, in precious metals speculation.

I’m going to get the merc so I have all 3. I should have bought it last yr when I got these! At least I saved the least expensive for last.

No worries, my kinda people. Satire, cynicism, double entendre, euphemism etc.. are part of being a military brat then a squid myself.

Exactly what happened. Too many people have gold and silver fever right now. Reminds of the bitcoin pumpers who keep buying it and never selling any. They watched it go to 125k and then tank back to 87k, but never sold. Now it's going for around 111k and they're all worked up again. It's going to 250k! It's going to a million by 2027! Sorry, no, not gonna happen. Nothing just keeps going up and up. The higher gold and silver go, the more people will be dumping their Sterling silver and silver coins. That will eventually cause a glut in the market.

Nothing wrong with holding right now, but you'd have to be nuts to be buying any gold or silver at these prices.

I tend to agree. I've heard "but this time it's different" said many time about many things over the years -- but it usually isn't.

Unbelievable .... For a moment here in Canadian dollars gold reached $6,000.00 plus an ounce.

Likely may not stay there but I'm hoping next spring / summer it is at least 5 grand or better as I just staked a placer claim. Good or better claims here are not available as they are all staked and I was lucky to get a claim at the head waters of a creek. From what I see this ground has not been prospected in at least 30 – 40 years as the old trails are so overgrown with alders and tough going..We took the quads in to get a look and in most places one was not certain where the trail was.
