I found this down hill from what was reportedly a slaughter house at one time. Is there any chance it could have been a piece of a knife sharpening stone?

I found this rock last summer it had brownish Chrystal’s in it just wanted to know what is ?
Lol!I'm not sure. Looks like a red, well used canon camera to me.
PS. That stone looks like schist. One side would be smooth if used to sharpen a knife...
Looks like cinnamon garnet to me. Cool find!Wild guess: Garnet?

Hello, I found this in southwest Texas 2 years ago and am just about ready to break it to figure out what it is. It's approx 8.5"Ă—6.5"Ă—4.5" high, weighing 17 lbs. It is too dense for sandstone and not granite. Very large agate by chance? The crazy banding made me think of agate and it was found in an area known for agate.View attachment 1548241
I had this rock for many years. Stepped on it in the water in Greece. Very heavy.

Here is another. Probably from New York area. Gray hard stone with white veins. The white material in the veins comes off with your finger.
