Here's a pic of my Fri order (just picked up)

Here's a pic of an order I just picked up. Its my weekly Friday order. In addition, I also pick up an order on Wed & on Thur. So yes, you could say I'm bitten by the THing bug & fever. Its the most highly addicted Sport/hobby on earth. Even the banks praise me for my endurance.

Mercury dime. That's what us professionals refer to them as :D

also, brinks boxes, sweet!

I picked up a Brinks box of quarters. Skunked..But thanks to you guys I realized I can ORDER a box of 1/2's! I ordered it and it's supposed to be in on Tuesday. If it comes I'll order one every week. I am trying to find a bank close to work to use as my Dump Bank, and usnig the bank close to home as my ORDER bank!

I would be in aww if I could do that kind of volume. Best weekend ever.

Those Brinks boxes are the worst I've seen yet. 1 box of halves gave me 1 40% dated 1967, 2 proofs dated 2000S & a Panama half. The other half dollar box was a skunk. The quarter box was a skunk & the 2 dimes boxes were skunks. As far as the 2 nickels boxes, I only got 1 War dated 1944P & of course a few dozen Pre-1960 & a few foreign coins. To say the least I'm disappointed. I didn't do the penny boxes yet but usually I do good with Brinks penny boxes. From my experience, things keep getting worse with this hobby. The goodies are getting harder to find & more scarce. I miss the good old days when CRH was like the best kept secret & the boxes were loaded with lots of treasure. But now with the masses being informed & educated via the Internet, too many are doing it now, probably including the Government. But the fun is in the thrill of the hunt & I will march on in my quest for more silver & cool stuff. HH.

i did 5 brinks half dollar boxes this week for 4 non-silver proofs and 1 40% silver, a 1966... definately not as good as the past, i was dissapointed myself! anyway, no more brinks boxes for me until next month.

What's the date on the Panamanian half? Some of those are silver too. They were minted in the USA and have as much silver as a pre-'64 half.

not trying to be rude, just wondering do you have a day job? if you do, i have no idea how you get through those! it takes me a few days to get through one box, if i devote most of my spare time to sorting. i hope my efficiency increases over time

I got some good coins from Brinks boxes this week. Dime boxes usu only produce 1 silver every 1 & 1/2 boxes for me. Nicks and pennies are fun to search - every once in a while I find a cool nick and there is the copper factor. I don't see why you guys waste your time with quarters though. When was the last time you saw anyone find more than 1 silver quarter in a box (and that was after searching about 5-10 skunks to find that one)???
