New Strategy

I should keep this a secret,but here's the plan. I'm going change my name, open a new account,as a new member,and get beginners luck all over again :hello2:

Think about it. We've had 3 new members get dream scores or boxes this week alone. :thumbsup:

I don't know why this is but, I had a bit of beginners luck when I first started out, and my son Scooba on his first and second road trips scored an unbelieveable amount of silver. So much in fact that although he never lies,I had to see it for myself

Who else has had beginners luck say within their first month of CRHing?
I'll bet that there are quite a few of us.

No major scores as a beginner, but I remember many rolls from different banks being partial silver. Also found my first Barber, 1894, the first week or two of hitting up banks. Back then (couple years ago) silver was $8-10 an oz.

I have yet to come across a dream box, but have found several nice customer rolls since January. My computer crashed a few weeks back to I lost all my data. If I remember correctly, I had 11 silvers in one row. I think my best box was a tad under 35 keepers. Just can't recall. Not great by some of the high standards here, but it was pretty dog gone good for me.

I remember the guy who had all those walkers enders. He was the one that had posted (temporarily) on that u-tube thing. Now that was a haul.

Even though I was a first time poster on this site, I am not new to CRHing. My dream box came after 88 boxes searched. My best score was 45 keepers before that dream box. Im one of the fee that didn't get to experience beginners luck.

I scored six solid rolls of silver dimes and nine solid rolls of silver quarters on one of my first CRH tries. There is surely something to be said for beginner's luck.

i had a box with 86 keepers within first 3 months, this year i had a nice 4 box return of like 60 with good portion being 90%, would love to get a nice box again...

I started with cents for a few months so I probably wasted any real beginners luck on copper. I did get a steel cent my first box :tongue3:

- I can't complain though as I had my share of good luck over the last couple years. Best box this year was 86, best box last year was about 150. I have had many skunks boxes though...but a few nice road trips that panned out well. :icon_pirat:

not a bad idea Rich...go for it.

my first day out hunting and i think it was the second or third bank, when i got my first and only bag. well partial bag that is. it only had $105 in it but i pulled 22 keepers from it including several Bens. it wasn't until around 5 months later and many many banks that i hit my biggest score ever. that being the 16 rolls of uncirculated Bens.

My luck has remained consistently bad with everything from day one to now. The only thing that has changed is that I am now doing much greater quantities, so I occasionally stumble upon good boxes... never of halves, though, always lesser denominations.

FTR, my best boxes are as follows;

Halves - 2 Walkers, 2 Franklins, 1 '64, 4 40%'s.
Dimes - 19 Mercs, 8 Roosies.
Nickels - 4 War Nicks, 2 Buffs.

The dimes weren't even a box, I just got $250 from a bank and they were in about 40 rolls... had about 10 CWR there too.

I remember the 2 weeks I started crh'ing

I pulled 397 keepers. With a monthly total over 600.

So I do remember those beginners luck days too lol

I didn't have a dream box but when I first started CRH I found 67 silvers twice in the same month. I get 2 boxes weeklytil this day.

My new strategy will be to change my name to Rich Hartford. That should guarantee me a 5+/box keeper average.

Seriously, if I were you I wouldn't change a thing. You seem to average way better than most here on Tnet.

Is this in the CRH Society Manual or By-Laws? I am just wondering because if I am due for a dream box or two I haven't received mine yet -- how long does it usually take

I think everyone gets one eventually. You may get yours on your next pickup. You never know.

In 2008 I quit for a month- 42 boxes/wk burnout, when I tried it out again I got 10 oz out of 2 boxes, couple days later I got 6 out of 2. Few phone calls later and I was back full schwing. It would likely help my finds and my attitude to take another sabatical but fraid my banks won't start up again this time- they are dropping like flies as it is- gotta play as long as the game is on. I really hope you are right Rich, that would be awesome and about double my take on the 45 boxes I have opened so far! If you keep stats, how many dream boxes have you had and how many boxes have you opened? What was your biggest dream box?
