Newbie Finds First Two Silver

[joesch_1999]

Found a 1940 walking liberty and a 1944 Washington quarter in the same hole next to a piece of Iron. The Minelab SE rocks, the spot I hunted has been hunted to death, there were three guys in the area I found these in, I decided to go over and give it a shot where they were, my buddie had the ace 250 and he just picked up the Iron the SE gave off three distinct sounds when I waved the coil over the hole, the walking was not even half a inch away from the iron and the quarter was about a half inch away from the walking 9 inches down, can't say enough about the SE what a great machine.Very exciting for me, broke my cherry LOL.

very cool finds... congrats on the silver.. feels cool huh?

[joesch_1999]

Feels very cool especially when I hear it's not very often 50 cent pieces are found the first thing I find is a half dollar lucky I guess, I don't get lucky to often so I will take it when I can get it lol.

[Stormtrooper154]

Sure wish I got double silvered 3 weeks into detecting. I still havent even found a silver quarter, let alone a silver walker. And Im hunting old private property's LOL

[joesch_1999]

Found these in a forest preserve, used to be a picnic area in the early 1900's according to history, very muddy area now, but well worth getting a little dirty.

Congrats on your silver, newbie. I've only had 1 so far this year. I live in Des Plaines, not far from you. Email or pm me if we could hunt together.

Very nice job, Joesh_1999 on finding those silver coins next to iron. Trust me, those won't be your last silver coins you find with your SE. It's only just the beginning. Each time out, I was getting better and better learning the deepie coin sounds with my SE, and so far I'm having the best md'ing year ever. I've gone to so many hunted out parks where I live, and have been finding silver coins/wheaties/IH's that have been passed up by others. Check out my Ag/oldie coin counter below. It's no joke. Let's try and get as many silver as we can before others start to see that the SE/minelabs are doing so well.

Congrats,
CAPTN SE

Great job! Just don't expect that it will happen every time out, though it probably will happen again at some point!

[Prober]

Nice silver! And only 3 weeks into it? You are doing great. I've been doing it for 2 months now and have yet to find a silver coin except for 3 or 4 early 60's nickels. Congrats and keep up the good work.
