I was watching a couple of episodes of "The Lottery Changed My Life" with my son earlier today and we started talking about how cool it would be and all the things we could buy for our family, you know the ussual stuff, but, I couldn't help but think right away about how much easier it would be to CRH. I'm sure we all know the reasons, time and money I would put at the top of my list of reasons it would help me out, but I would definetly say yes, I would still CRH for the life of me or the hobby which ever ended first. I don't think I'm alone here either. So, just some food for thought here, I won't go into anymore now and see what others have to say, I'd like to hear some other peoples stories and reasons. 8-) HH,Maverick.

I would buy 20k ounces of 90% junk silver and 400 ounces of gold coins in the USA, then move to Europe into a small house in the mountains. Either England or Italy. Dig out the basement and put in a nice big safe where I would probably spend a decent amount of time looking for key dates. I would just live my life as a new person. Nothing extravagant. Maybe take a trip to the coast every weekend. Play some video games. Learn a new hobby.

Sigh. I would absolutely be prepared to do this immediately if I won the lottery.

I would still hunt. Imagine if you put $1,000,000 in a bank account and told them at the bank you'd leave it there as long as they would let you buy boxes and dump at will. You could order 1,000 boxes at a time and dump them all at once. I could double a million dollars in 1 year. Then I would do the ultimate road trip across America... hit every small bank in every small town and buy every half. Take every other day off to see all the scenery: Smithsonian, Disneyworld, Niagara Falls, Mount Rushmore, Monticello, Northern Lights, Forks, Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, Grand Canyon, Crater of Diamonds, Yosemite, Mile High Stadium, Crater Lake, Skull and Bones, Winterthur, Savannah, Pearl Harbor, Sun Valley, Field Museum, South Bend, Adventureland, Cowtown, Slugger Museum, French Quarter, LL Bean, Fort McHenry, Fenway, Fox Theater, Mall of America, Biloxi, Gateway Arch, Glacier, Chimney Rock, Hoover Dam, Mount Monadnock, Hamptons, Carlsbad Caverns, Charlotte, Fargo, Cedar Point, Omniplex, Hersheypark, Block Island, Sumter, Graceland, 6th Floor Museum, Zion, Ben & Jerry's, Arlington, Circus World, and Yellowstone. I think that's one thing from each state. And I know - you can't drive to Pearl Harbor. My silver finds on the days I search would pay for the trip. So, heck ya, I'd still search!

I would move to Alaska and mine gold.

All the best laid plans in the world go down the drain when millions of dollars are dropped in your lap.

That kind of money would be a curse.

Think about actually winning.....you have learned to be happy at your station in life....suddenly all that changes, usually big winners are broke or dead surprisingly quickly. No more joy from finding a small treasure. No more hopes of finding a large one.

Luckily daydreaming about winning is as far as most of us get.

I'd probably give up CRH and switch to junk silver searching en masse. I'd probably order and search $10k a week lol.

Seriously, first thing I'd do if I won the lottery is post a quick explanation on FB of why I'm shutting it down, turn it off within 12 hours, immediately contact a lawyer and get a hotel room under a friends' name.

LOL I'd buy a bank, Move into it & coin roll hunt after hours

All great responses so far, I have loved reading them, ( I hope there are more to come) We are a simple family of 4 My wife, Son, Daughter, and me. We have talked in the past about winning and definetly want to move some where with lots of land ( 80+ acres would be nice) to kinda get away from civilization a little bit ( a little too much attitude in the younger gen I find) No offense to all the younger gen, maybe an area with more people our age when the kids grow up ( I"m 41), just live a simple life ( with the exception of being rich!) and see what happens from there, I don't think we'd be going crazy traveling everywhere all the time doing stuff all the time, we both work and don't have enought time together to just relax and enjoy life together as it is, so hanging out on our huge ranch riding Atv's, accationally going to some car auctions ( again, the motor head in me) and plan a few trips to see some of the wonders of the world would probably be our way of enjoying the money. I've thought about it some and still think it would be fun to sit with our freinds on the second story of our big over sized ranch house patio grilling, having a beer over looking our land and coin roll hunting every so often. "We" are half way through life allready, I'd spend the next half takin it easy for sure. HH, Maverick.

Heyy BB, I loved Circus World when I was a kid! I went several times, they closed here amny many years ago infortunetly, I would ride the Roaring Tiger roller coaster over and over again everytime we went, I haven't thought of that place in years! Disney, I remember going when you used to have to buy tickets to ride the rides there. I am one of the original Florida Natives still here! Thanks for the memories! HH, Maverick.

I would treasure hunt in europe - gold hunt in alaska and australia

that all depends on the person. I have a friend who won 7.2 million after taxes. He was a friend, not a close enough friend to share , but someone amongst the group. He won 5 years ago and he is doing just fine. If you have a addictive personality then a lot of times thats where the issues arise. People have no clue how to control themselves. Drugs, excessive buying, girls, etc etc. He is a very simple person. He moved to florida , only bought a 400k house has a car, truck, jet ski, a quad, and his house is beautiful. He also has a condo in vermont on i think okemo mountain. With the amount of money he won he could have done some serious damage but he stayed within he means and lives a happy life. Wife, 2 kids and a dog.

Yup - except I would have a condo in Whistler, and house in PNW

that's about what I would do exactly, although I'd move to Colorado and get a harley

I would not. I would be too busy playing the top 25 golf courses in the world. Maybe play a few pro-ams with Tiger (I am a 2 handicap). Also would travel a lot......eat fine foods.....concerts......women.....just too busy to CRH.....

I think 7.2 million is still OK, but 300+ million is too much. If you acquire it slowly, then you get adjusted to it. When you earn it in one second, there's a problem.

If i won the lottery, that would mean my wife also won the lottery. I wouldn't have time to CRH with all the travelling we would be doing with our winnings.:laughing7:

Call the reserve/mint up, tell them you'd like to buy any halves they get in. End of CRH as we know it, though I'm sure you'd need more than any lottery amount.
