I was watching a couple of episodes of "The Lottery Changed My Life" with my son earlier today and we started talking about how cool it would be and all the things we could buy for our family, you know the ussual stuff, but, I couldn't help but think right away about how much easier it would be to CRH. I'm sure we all know the reasons, time and money I would put at the top of my list of reasons it would help me out, but I would definetly say yes, I would still CRH for the life of me or the hobby which ever ended first. I don't think I'm alone here either. So, just some food for thought here, I won't go into anymore now and see what others have to say, I'd like to hear some other peoples stories and reasons. 8-) HH,Maverick.

I'd have to agree with Arkie on this one... I like the Zincoln in the parking lot analogy. While not living exactly paycheck to paycheck right now, I'm not in a position to take 6 months off work to climb Everest either... Having millions and millions of dollars dropped in my lap would certainly change my world perspective... Travel travel travel.... got lots of hobbies besides CRH'ing to look after as well.....

Would probably buy an ASE monster box or two whenever the whim struck me... without checking the spot price first. Probably buy lots of other PM's as well....

"Please, Lord, let me prove that winning the lottery won't spoil me...." lol

HH...!

Man..I would retire and CRH..as well as taking trips to Detect...and like many menitoned, I would try and get some really nice complete sets of all the US Coins

It might be fun to buy or design a lot of machinery to hunt through the coins for you. But I think I would just quit CRH and do something more important.

depending on the size of the prize, I have always followed the idea of "go big or go home" , I would open a similar setup like the portland mint guy, or maybe go buy a claim in Alaska lol ~!

All the best laid plans in the world go down the drain when millions of dollars are dropped in your lap.

That kind of money would be a curse.

Think about actually winning.....you have learned to be happy at your station in life....suddenly all that changes, usually big winners are broke or dead surprisingly quickly. No more joy from finding a small treasure. No more hopes of finding a large one.

Luckily daydreaming about winning is as far as most of us get.

I hate to disagree. Much of what happens is based on who you are and what your history is. A smart person can make a large amount of money last a long time. I happy person finds joy and allows it to find them. Many people realize that the money would not make them happy, but would allow them to pursue happiness more freely.

I'd take the windfall and spend it on wine, women and song. THe rest I would squander - :headbang:
