That's a long process of engraving that you've put into this project.
Would a 100 hrs cover the job?

I don’t keep track of hours but that guess might be pretty close. I’m glad to get it finished for sure. Now I can go back to fun stuff. Grinding on rocks, flying my drone, and my new hobby. Casting metal.

It’s all finished. I think it came out pretty nice. I’ll be returning it to the owner today. I think he’ll be happy. Everyone on this forum including myself loves treasure. I also like to create treasure! This is probably my last big engraving job. I’m 71 and have engraved for 43 yrs. My eyes and hand coordination are not what they used to be. I think I had a pretty good run.👍🏻

You can retire from engraving and tippy tapping inlay anytime you like with your chin held high.

This is the first engraving job that I’ve done with access to an iPhone. It’s a pro with a great camera. I was easily able to take pics along the way and post them here on the forum. I was also able to send pics to the customer in real time. Our technology is pretty amazing.🤩

I’d says that’s better than pretty nice. Absolutely stunning. And to know that it was done by hand, not some fancy machine — absolutely beautiful.

You've created a family heirloom that will cherished for generations to come. I can imagine a few generations down the line and a family member researching this gun and the engraver.

Amazing work, and something to be proud of, both by you and the owner.
