Good morning!

Wow, been a few days. I've been super busy. A lot of work, a lot of driving, and yesterday, I was promoted to full time Moderator on Arrowheads.com. And yesterday I found this neat lil' guy from the 1930s in a flea market.

Ha ha ha Sis.

Remember to adjust for wind, elevation, humidity, earth's rotation, spin drift.......... Your last barrage was found a state east and then south of me.

Just found this :

The Canadian military confirmed this week that a sniper with Canada’s elite special forces crushed the world record for the longest-known kill shot. The unnamed shooter hit and killed his target in Iraq at the staggering range of 3,540 metres–more than a kilometre further than last record set in 2009 by British sniper Craig Harrison in Afghanistan.

That is 2.199654 miles ! I need him, ( or her ), on my team :icon_thumright:

Do you remember when I posted that I had a fan from Canada? Guess who? :laughing9:

Day before yesterday I said to the Mrs when i walked in after the rock moving day, that I did my dues.
Last night when I walked in after 8pm she said: " I thought you said..." :laughing7:

I'm not sue what happened but I was nackered after doing the 12hr day.

Had another 3 trees taken down in the back lane area. 1 big Birch that was dangerously tall and dead, another that had snapped in half last winter.
The big one was a 80ft Red Oak that stuck out into the lane, added character to the laneway but a pain in the arse for plowing snow and just having to go around it a bit.
It got a frost crack a couple of winters back on the lower trunk, then another at the first Y of the tree. So we had a meeting of minds and the tree is now going to be made into saw logs. and firewood for the evaporator.
Took out the stump and root ball-which left a crater in the laneway-which had to be refilled.
The operator of the 20ton excavator knocked most of the dirt off, then walked the stump up to the stump dump.
When he extended the boom the excavator tipped forward bringing the rear of the tracks off the ground 3ft in the air. Heavy stump!

Cut down the driveway/parking (pit run)gravel level-so a total of 5 loads were removed from the area-5/8" crushed limestone will replace it.
We figure to redo the driveway/yard/back lane/topping of shop yard lot we will need 10 loads of 5/8" crushed, 4 loads of pit run at shop for base (after yesterdays grading) and two loads of screened topsoil for the new garden beds.
18ton per load.
Going to mortgage the pets.

Today is filling the cut tile void, clay pond, blue clay pile......
More chain saw work as there's another 3/4 trees
Then the 20 ton can be floated out, and it'll be then the smaller excavator finishing up.

Gee the poor pets will have 2nd written on them

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Stop! Stop! Stop!

Somebody please step in and explain to pepper what retirement is supposed to be like! :tongue3:

This spot is world class....I think the fact that your in the water increases the lost gold count. This spot is constantly replenished. There was a day in 96....I got 8 gold rings and 4 silvers....I probably had 10 earnings that day too. They used to have an event called bartenders week. They would party so hard that someone would die every year. I used to kill it back then....they shut all that madness down. But I normally get gold here when I go !! It's almost a sure bet when I go here !!

Mornin all!

Now why would W.D. do all that to a poor fish.

Just for the hal i but!

Yep , I need a slap or two. Coffee ain't making my non drunk butt sober today.

FLASHBACK!!

It was April the 41st
Being a quadruple leap year
I was driving through downtown Atlantis
My Barracuda was in the shop, so
I was in a rented Stingray
And it was overheating
So I pulled into a Shell station
They said I'd blown a seal
I said, "Fix the damn thing
And leave my private life out of it
Okay, pal?"
While they were doing that
I walked over to a place called the Oyster Bar
A real dive
But I knew the owner
He used to play for the Dolphins
I said, "Hi, Gil!"
You hafta yell, he's hard of herring
Think I had a wet dream
Cruisin' through the Gulf Stream
Oooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Wet dream
Gil was also down on his luck
Fact is, he was barely keeping his head below water
I gullied up to the sandbar
He poured the usual
Rusty snail, hold the grunion, shaken, not stirred
With a peanut butter and jellyfish sandwich on the side Heavy on the mako
I slipped him a fin, on porpoise
I was feeling good
I even dropped a sand dollar in the box for Jerry's squids
For the halibut
Well, the place was crowded
We were packed in like sardines
They were all there to listen to the big band sounds of Tommy Dorsal
What sole
Tommy was rockin' the place with a very popular tuna Salmon Chanted Evening
And the stage was surrounded by screaming groupers
Probably there to see the bass player
One of them was this cute little yellowtail
And she's giving me the eye
So I figure, this is my chance for a little fun
You know -- a piece of Pisces
But she said things I just couldn't fathom
She was too deep
Seemed to be under a lot of pressure
Boy, could she drink
She drank like a... she drank a lot
I said, "What's your sign?"
She said, "Aquarium"
I said, "Great! Let's get tanked."
Think I had a wet dream
Cruisin' through the Gulf Stream
Oooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Wet dream
I invite her up to my place for a little midnight bait
I say, "C'mon baby, it'll only take a few minnows"
She threw me that same old line
"Not tonight, I got a haddock"
And she wasn't kiddin' either
'Cause in came the biggest, meanest looking haddock
I'd ever seen come down the pike
He was covered with mussels
He came over to me,
He said, "Listen shrimp
Don't you come trolling around here"
What a crab
This guy was steamed
I could see the anchor in his eyes
I turned to him
I said, "Abalone! You're just being shellfish"
Well, I knew there was going to be trouble
And so did Gil
'Cause he was already on the phone to the cods
The haddock hits me with a sucker punch
I catch him with a left hook
He eels over
It was a fluke
But there he was, lying on the deck
Flat as a mackerel
Kelpless
I said, "Forget the cods, Gil
This guy's gonna need a sturgeon"
Well, the yellowtail was impressed
With the way I landed her boyfriend
She came over to me, she said
"Hey big boy, you're really a game fish"
"What's your name?"
I said, "Marlin"
Think I had a wet dream
Cruisin' through the Gulf Stream
Oooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Wet dream
Well from then on, we had a whale of a time
I took her to dinner
I took her to dance
I bought her a bouquet of flounders
And then I went home with her
And what did I get for my trouble?
A case of the clams
Think I had a wet dream
Cruisin' through the Gulf Stream
Oooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Wet dream

Rusty,

Good morning and congratulations on being upped to moderator I think? I've been at it for 9 years now on the Canadian forum. Not many people step forward for non paying jobs......:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

I like jobs. Paying or non-paying. Okay I mostly like paying, but Arrowheads.com is like a second family. I'm happy to do it.

Good afternoon all.

Bart congrats on your gold ring trifecta. You get paid to play!I

Congrats RR on your moderator promotion, and the sweet little bottle.I

Yep WD, there was an invite aboard ship, kinda left out the part about shark bait. If I remember right it was rum taster! Ya taster of rum!

We still have rug rat infestation, there's a lull in the action, they are refuelling for the second wave.

Someone didn't plug in the tablet...oh wait, that was me! :laughing7:
