Good morning pirates xx hope u have all had a good week xx well finally starting to get my head round this new job …! Mr woo has had an up/down week… has taken to spending most of his day sunbathing on my bedroom window sill, watching the world go by. He refuses to take his pain meds … but is still eating, drinking nd letting me stroke him… so we will take things at his speed.

Now the bad news… no detecting today, have a list of chores to do 😔… but forecast is sunny for tomoz so will get out nd explore more uncharted lands!! xx hope u all have a nice day xx 🤗

At least he's still eating and drinking, and getting to stroke him is good. He looks quite dignified there sunning in the window, quite a contrast to how PeeWee does it.

It got to 40F Yesterday.
Looking ahead not a good weekend.

Got to never take the weather at face value.
Snowed and by 9pm it was still full on, having 4+inches during the Max walk.
Light fluffy, woke up to 39F dipping snow a slush puppy, but a flash freeze coming in.
To leave it, or to plow it 🤔

Yesterday I was cleaning up the side of the driveway, making the yard wider from the snow bank that accumulated.
Backed up, looked, and there's a mouse, that little rodent ran so fast up the bank and into the bush. I was surprised at the speed it could go.🤣
I looked over at the mouse trap on the floor.
Yup another victim of the Tundra housing plan. :headbang:

Decided not to plow, little crusty snow over the ice is better for walking.
Got a picture with the phone.
Looks like a Seagull but it's a Trumpeter Swan. We have 6 of them flying around looking for any open water.

A good sign.

Swans know there's open water where they came from.

Yesterday there were a trio of geese up high over some ag. fields during a road trip of mine.

Fields just starting to open up. areas of exposed ground here and there.
