From a non native perspective it's not easy to not step on toes.
Sovereignty matters on tribal land. As it should.
And just saying (from my position) oh someone needs to intervene and push tribal police aside isn't the answer.
There are systemic issues from multiple sides. Complicated by jurisdiction and within jurisdiction ; actual jurisdiction.

A near neighboring couple split up after a divorce of mine removed me from the area and their adopted native son I had introduced to deer hide and blackpowder shooting.
Given his history and events and trends on the rez he had lived on....
The kid didn't need his adopted parents splitting up.
I lost track.
I have not forgot him or why he was adopted.

How different from the victims perspective is here or there?
They are still victims.
How different is it to insult a childs dependence or a spouses commitment to being together only because the location differs?

Is it wrong to dismiss culture in seeing the equality of those who suffer?
Is it wrong to ignore suffering because it is another cultures particular victim?
Is it wrong to exclude intervention because it involves multiple cultures to converge to reduce violence?
We have historic evidence in policing , social programs and studies to know the answer.

I draw lines.
that doesn't mean a child on my side suffers because it isn't mine. Or a woman or man because they don't share my culture. Oh I would and have excluded some. But not because of culture.

A wise host in a city told me basically; I share my home with you you share yours with me.
It really can be that simple.
Now add an intolerance of abusing ourselves and others and we are part way to getting along.

No I'm not that rosy.
But I'll pretty much hold a strangers baby like it is my own regardless of the stranger.

.
That post reminds me of one of our best friends, he was from the stolen Aboriginal generation here. We knew him very very well and he told us things that he never told others. He became a gold prospector and we lived near him, fished with him and defected gold with him. His history he told us I'd have to write a book about. But you know your Indian Wind Talkers in the War. His brother was an Aboriginal Wind Talker in the Pacific on an Island relaying information to command in an Aboriginal tongue that the Japanese never understood. Amazing stories.

This was another great day of insulation-not!
Try filling up a cavity with 16"×5.5" R22 mineral wool. Cut 2-4" pieces reaching through over around pipes, drains, hot heating lines. OUCH!
The worst 2 days of doing it, but the rest will be easy compared to this today.
4 bales done :headbang: 20 more to go....😭
White hazmat suit, Google, N95 mask, gloves. Still get some little glass, metal, fibers.

How do you keep your copper pipes from freezing in the winter?

These lines are for the heating system, filled with a glycol 60/40 mixture. Good to -50F if a event happens where the house freezes.

That would allow the house to be heated then repair all the water lines. 🤣
Plan might be a backup outdoor furnace and then the glycol will be in the system for heating.
Most folks don't bother even just water in the heating systems. Even for the outdoor furnaces and other buildings.
Seen where they will freeze up and whole concrete floor systems have to be broken out and replaced.

Is it just me........ or is music getting crappier ?

IMO.... The top music of today is really "lacking" in so many ways.

And to be honest....

I use Pandora streaming and play different genres on shuffle. I haven't listened to the radio in 10+ years because of the horrible quality of today's music. The little of today's music I may see or hear incidentally, reaffirms my choice.
