Have a question! I know like in Florida some beaches are closed to detecting ( state owned?)But how does it work like here in NC? No one owns the beach in our state. Of course there’s military bombing range I get. But for example if you have a house on the beach, you own to the edge of the extreme high tide line, edge of vegetation. Therefore public can walk or detect wherever on the beach. But how does a national park own the beach or do they? You would think that low tide would be like being in a river . If you’re in the water you’re free to do whatever. So why can’t I detect on a beach of a national park?

Good morning folks. It was in the 80's yesterday and beautiful. A little cooler today then colder 🥶 tomorrow. Ugg Taking my truck to the bodyshop this morning. A lady in the lane next to me just turned right into me as we were moving along. She said she looked in the mirror & didn't see me. Police gave her a ticket for unsafe lane change. Alway something it seems.

We're heading that way sadly, most snow at one time since the blizzard of 78' here and I was 5 then and remember it

Just got off the phone with the heating contractor (boiler issues for the domestic hot water side)
Let's just say this boiler/combo unit is starting to turn into an old car/keep throwing $$$ hoping it will work.

He shovelled 18" off his deck this morning, main roads aren't plowed even.

Still coming down hard, so I'll wait for a few more hours before attempting to plow it all out.

Good morning ye ole snow pirates. Geez I get chills just reading your morning responses 🥶 Man I don’t do cold as I used to. We dodged most of it here. Rain mostly but inland part of the state covered in ice. No one cares for that (Especially Minnesota). I guess global warming’s not mentioned this winter 😂

Yeah I could understand not being allowed on historical grounds where the tourists visit relics etc. But a dang beach full of shifting sand! There should be different rules. I mean no one stops the kids from digging holes making sand castles

Well it's Australia Day here today, or Self Loathing Day as many make out it is.
Today the top gong for the top Australian of the year went to Katherine Bennell Pegg our first ever Astronaut. 🎉💫🧑‍🚀........umm well, she's never actually been to space but will one day, I think! Just hopefully not on one of our rockets..... 😬

So anyway, in keeping with our new Australia D.....Self Loathing Day my wife and I went next door and yelled abuse at our neighbors for being white Aussies. They thanked us both and we made arrangements for them to do likewise later in the afternoon. Before leaving we threw a couple of empty beer cans on their front lawn and gratified their letterbox with "white honkys get out". 😃
Before we left they asked us what we would like graffitied on ours. We chose off of the list they showed us "Die white scum". 🤗
They're not beer drinkers so we agreed on them throwing some empty Jim Beam cans on our lawn.
Unfortunately its a high fire danger day today and as a result a Total Fire ban is in force.
Bummer huh, we can't burn our Aussie flag today as planned 🙁
So instead I drew an Aussie Flag set on fire on some cardboard and using, not made in Australia garden ties 😀 always thinking right, made in China......🤔 come to think of it everything is now...anywho tied on the front gate.
🥹 excuse me for a second im welling up with pride.....hang on 😵‍💫 no no no no no not that pride 👬👨‍❤️‍👨🫄....wait what's that guy holding? 🤨🧐 .... weirdo....sorry I was being a bit uninclusive there.
Um, yeah so what a celebration, and even if you don't know anybody that hates you, remember, you can always hate yourself.

I haven't watched any in yrs. Last I saw was that weird Bone Tomahawk one. Before that I reckon I didn't see any since the 1990s.
The news is horror enough for me.
