Yeah noticed all the rod holders around the rails and some what looks like lures hanging up. Nice n stable looking boat. What are they going for, anything in particular for that time of year? I miss salt water fishing, sometimes I even dream about it 😄
I might go for a fish next week if we get a cool day hopefully. Just redfin, perch, but I'll take anything these days.

Some veges are managing to survive this season.
My super hot habanero is just starting to flower, I didn't think it was going to make it a month ago but its got to a pretty good size.

My little Thai chilli is going good. Nice n hot too.

One summer squash in a pot growing up a trellis, been smashed by high 30s and 40c heat and darn, oops, durned squash beetles but getting some lovely tasting button squash from it.

Have two in the ground that I was going to throw away a couple of months ago but they're going ok.

I have seen people cooking the flowers from squash so I gave it a try battering some like I had seen. They were ok but very light on any flavour. Maybe try stuffing them next try.
Anyone done that and have an idea of what's the nicest thing to put in them?

Naturally had them with chilli sauce 😁

Around here steelhead are trout, that looks more like salmon. What species of fishies is that?

Steelhead are a unique sub-species of anadromous Rainbow trout. Like salmon, they are born in
the fresh water, and then make their way to sea for 2-3 years, then return to the exact spot they
were born in order to spawn. Unlike salmon, Steelhead will return to the sea after spawning, and
then return to the river to spawn again.

And yes, their meat is pink, and the one OV has a pic of looks like it was just fresh from
the salt water.

Today, most steelhead are spawned at a hatchery, however the river I live on has one of the
few true wild steelhead runs remaining in the world.

You never heard of one?
They make a loud "bang" sound.

I bought one for 20 or 25 dollars like the picture . Someone had loosely assembled it from a kit.
I rebuilt it . Bending the hammer to fit the nipple better was about the only thing it needed after a mild increase in inletting the lock.
Would rather a 50 but none seem to want to tempt me cheaply.
