I'm a little late on the scene as I wanted to get out to the lake early.
Enticed a largie with a trout pattern crankbait.
Looks like this heron was also successful.

How many ounces, pounds, and don't go tons because that's a fish tale.
How many inches and even feet-but if you go over 4ft that's another fish tale.
So congrats on the catch-are they worthy of digesting or just catch/releasing?
Great looking morning on the water-jealous as mine is still white.
Only about 2 pounds, long and skinny. I put him back in so he could fatten up a little bit.
He was an aggressive little booger, went after a 7 inch striper lure.
It was still pretty dark, that's why the pic is so bad.
They are tasty, but I don't bother unless 3 pounds or more.
