Yesterday a dry day so I waved the leaf blower like a low magic wand.
Apparently it's getting low on magic but I did get some leaves away from the front of the house again.

1952 - One of the heaviest log loads ever hauled by a single truck.
3 Redwood logs.
40 feet long each.
7-9 feet in diameter.
53,670 board feet.

The truck: a 1949 Peterbilt 390 built for off-highway hauling.
The driver: Wes Copeland, a former WWII bomber pilot trusted with loads most wouldn’t even attempt. For comparison, later record hauls in the 1970s pushed closer to 670,000 lbs, but those often used more complex setups. This one stands out because it was done with a single, straightforward rig, pushing the limits of its time. No computers. No modern engineering tools. Just raw timber, steel, and skill.
