Well.... I tried started working at about 8 this morning. I made it to 2 !
Drained. Flu 'B' can F off !! A friend that worked with me for years is building a garage, his first solo project. He is pouring a monolithic foundation, he asked if I would like to help.

Finish work. That's my non back breaking goal. I received a call asking if I could build a room addition on a log home. I explained just a few of the massive headaches involved. Please see above !!

Morning all.....

I should mow the lawn today.....might actually even do it, 'cause those little
yellow flowers are popping up all over.
Need to try and fix the line feeder on my weed eater...again. Every time I
think I've got it fixed, I get out there and find out it won't feed line....just chaps my ass.

Thinking about one of those aftermarket heads with the wires....wondering if they
last very long.

I found a black device that replaces the sting trimmers spool and housing.
It used white nylon looking "blades" , 3 blades that swing like brush cutter blades should.
Used it a lot of years at times and approve whole heartedly for poorly designed trimmers that don't feed well.
The trimmer has the brush cutting saw blade on it right now. Oh what fun! Zing! zinnng!Zinnnnnnng!

This isn't mine. Just a vague example.
Hey, someone makes one with a chain saw folded chain looking blade!

The best blade I have ever used, my Stihl FS90 currently has the biggest string you can get for a weed whacker but it throws chunks violently. This blade is quiet and cuts everything !!

Deer took all the leaves and ripped the tiny new top branches off a couple weeks(?) ago..
It was bare.
I watched a doe eating maple leaves/ branch tips when I was on the deck with dogs just before noon today. My prime suspect.

I would agree...deer are browsers, and just love the fresh buds.

Order up a bottle of coyote whiz and spray it around the yard...should keep the
deer out for a bit.

I've got a separate attachment that mounts on the main shaft, and it works like a
dream for small saplings, blackberries, etc. The string trimmer is for all the spots I
can't get with the push mower, and also for clearing the weeds from a paver brick
walkway I put in about 2005.

I looked up the one RC posted, and it won't adapt to my unit. I have a Troy Bilt
TB425CS. Tried to get replacement head for it, but all I can find are some odd looking
ones made in ?? that I seriously doubt will adapt.

Gonna have another go at fixing what I've got, as I've got a few spare parts laying
around. There's one little C-clip that's an absolute PITA to deal with, otherwise it's
not too complicated. I'm just sick of fixing it every other week.

We had 36 dogs at one time.
There's enough urine scent around.
Before C.W.D. in the deer herd I'd let the dogs have deer hind quarter bones attached with some scrap on them to tear up in the back yard. And the bigger of front leg bones..

She went between two homes with dogs to get to mine.
A maple stump where the polebarn was built was cleaned off of second growth twice last year. Probably same doe/deer .(They are few really).
To follow her tracks she has no fear of buildings or boat or tractor or...Much of anything.
But then today watching her browse midday tells she's not uptight around people and dogs. Heck she jumped by the shed not far from me to start.
Heavy equipment near might have woke her up.
She went a ways to the right of the tree stand out back just off my property. Doubt she knows it's there anyways.
The neighbors are on their second truckload (big truck) of mulch .
thousands in landscaping deer browse.
(My apple trees got hit the first night after we put some mulch down. )
I'll try to not put some out when I go hunting.

I like having critters around the house, as well. We get raccoons nightly, a possum on occasion
and several deer that pop by at night, generally. Beaver and otter frequent the riverbank, and
we even had a seal swim all the way up here one time. It munched a bunch of salmon, then
headed back out to the salt water where it belonged.
