Have to get a 100' ×2' roll of blue skin.
Dig out the footings a bit more, pressure wash.
Took a dump truck of dirt away already, still at least one more st the back. Nice rich soil.

That should last a few years.

The original owner's daughter stopped by the other day to see the place. She noticed the barn being repaired. It was built from sawn pine off the property 36 yrs ago. She thanked us once again for doing the place up well.

Boy: Searching the ground under a street light.

Old man: What're you looking for young man? I'll help.

Boy: I lost my quarter.

Old man: We've been looking for an hour. Are you sure you lost it here?

Boy: Oh no....I lost it down the block.

Old man: Whaaaaat!! Then, why in the world are you searching here!?!?

Boy: The light is better.
Ya know......I sort of think this pretty well describes my method of hunting lately. 🤪

"Why are you hunting here?"

"It's shadier here."

Cool looking PT boat! John Wayne had one of the plywood versions, and kept
it docked at his house near Balboa Island in So. Cal.

Mornin all.

Damn smoke is harsh today.
Even one of the dogs was gacking outside trying to breath.

If I had a respirator there's an old tire and some used oil I could go burn in the yard. Maybe throw a leaf pile and some shingles on it after it gets burning good.

The ministry of things ablaze.

I was taking classicle guitar lessons....not by choice, so this movie turned my obsession with the blues (Howling Wolf, Robert Johnson Muddy Waters etc) in to an addiction !! :laughing7: :laughing7:

The Blues Brothers started as a silly joke by John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd between comedy skits on Saturday Night Live. Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels originally opposed the act as a time-waster, but their live performances grew massive, turning a gag into an iconic pop-culture phenomenon.
  • The Warm-Up Act: Belushi and Aykroyd dressed in suits and sunglasses to warm up the SNL studio audience before the show. The crowd loved it.
  • The Record: The duo released an album called Briefcase Full of Blues in 1978. It was a smash hit, going double platinum.
  • No Respect: Universal Studios originally treated the 1980 movie as an expensive joke. Critics called it a bloated, excessive cash grab when it first released.
  • The Legends: To make the joke work, the pair hired real rhythm-and-blues legends like Ray Charles, James Brown, and Aretha Franklin. Their incredible performances helped propel the film to legendary status.
The Mission: The famous phrase "we're on a mission from God" gave their wild, destructive car crashes a funny, noble purpose.
