Around here, we like to say there are two kinds of visitors to the Oregon Coast: tourists and turons.

A tourist respects the places they visit. They pull over at scenic turnouts if traffic is piling up behind them. They pack out their trash, support local businesses, and leave the beach just as beautiful as they found it.
A turon does the opposite. They hold up a line of 30 cars without using a turnout, leave garbage behind, damage vacation rentals, and show little respect for the communities they’re visiting.
Most people who visit the Oregon Coast are wonderful guests. If you’re planning a trip, help keep it that way.
Don’t be a turon. Be the kind of visitor everyone is happy to welcome back.

So ... correct me if my magnetic compass is off a bit.... if you are going south shouldn't the the water be on the other side?

Welcome to the desert southwest. I've driven from Flagstaff, to Phoenix, and had the temperature change from 34°F to over 100°F. If you want more oddities like this, just move to the area!

I've had 60 degree shifts without having to leave my porch

No driving them, 16 inch +/- deep hole, posts set in concrete.

Good morning everyone. We're in St Pete Beach for a few days relaxing. Last night at sunset. It makes the whiskey taste better 😋

Visiting dog might end up staying.
Easy girl to get along with.
Each day she seems more orientated.

She is good at telegraphing when mice exist on the deck. (At first there was no notice.)
This morning she let me know one was in the grill. Without barking. Which matters if we're stalking something.
She's noting squirrels exist now too.
Currently guarding the hallway behind me (with her eyes closed) while making sure I don't sneak away or something.

I don't know the last time I had a piece of bacon...
But if we had enough bacon grease we could eat fried venison for a week probably before the ambulance arrived.
Maybe have an egg or two added in now and then ; just for the sake of variety.
