Yes, I walk or bike to the beach often. I took these this morning. Clouds and Sahara dust have been offshore lately.

Biting my fingers to prevent typing 'old Johnson' joke.

When your mind locks on to something it is hard to resist from typing another Johnson joke / link............

Slashing brush, saw a dirt pile at the end of a rotted log.
I was cutting a few small saplings down, looked and the ground was alive with small honey bees.
So I moved away, continued to cut. I must of been 40 ft away and felt a sting on my shin, then on the knee, (I'm in the middle of a cut) then above the knee.

Then it was over half way up my thigh!
Drop the saw and I was swatting, rubbing, scrubbing.
It was heading to places where it wasn't going there!
4 stings, jewel weed applied.
Back to work.

Yellow jacket wasps don't stop stinging unlike honey bees. I will have to try jewel weed not sure where to find it for the stings.
If you want to kill the nest of yellow jackets underground, try a number of ounces of gasoline down the hole after dusk when all the wasps are at the nest underground with a gallon metal can over the hole to the nest for a few days to kill the whole nest.

These were wild honey bees.
