Good morning all.
The county mowed the ditches and hit the phone box tied to our land line (yes, we still have one). To quote the repair guy, "They didn't just bump it, they sat the bush hog right down on top of it."

So they came out and fixed that.
Then I noticed that one part of the yard was starting to green up nicely, while the rest is still dead from lack of rain. The trouble is, the green came from a leaking hydrant -- there was actually a nice puddle going on the top of the ground. So I dug it up.

Then there were issues with the replacement, so that turned into an all day affair that isn't done yet, so I have yet another open hole in the yard at the moment. And I didn't find a single bit of treasure while digging it either. Not even so much as a rusty nail.
What a week. And we've still got one more day to go!
