Well what really amazed me is that they bulldozed the house. You aren't taught that move in the academy I promise you that. I can understand a fire that doesn't want to go out, but You don't take a bulldozer to the house just because it is hard to go out. Those are people's belongings inside that house. We as Firefighters are suppose to protect and try to save as much as possible. I am very sorry for your son's loss. I am just glad that they made it out ok. The animals will come back. I will keep them in my prayers.

Ron, very disturbing news. If there's anything I can do to help, please let me know. On the positive side, there was no loss of life. Sorry for your family's loss, I couldn't imagine losing all that I own, but life goes on. There are days where I wish I could start all over, but then reality comes back.

thats a terrible shame! that was a beautifull house glad everyone is ok though!

Sorry for their loss!!! I always go with the "it's just stuff and no one was hurt" myself but that does not make it easier.. having had a very close call with a dryer fire years ago... it pops into my head a lot how quick things can go!! Just glad everyone is safe!!!

My god I am so sorry to hear this.... I would love to see if we could find a way to come up with some sort of PayPal Donation Site for them! That would Truely be Awesome! What do you guys think? Ron is there a way They can Set up A PayPal Donation Site? And then us MD buddies could try to do the rest..... I know it would be great to throw some of the money we find into helping rebuild a house! Please let me know if they can Set SOMETHING up for Donations!!!

It would be my worst nightmare, can you image how many historic finds would be lost I wouldn't give a .... about the TV etc they are replacable

You guys bring tears to my eyes. I just woke up, couldn't sleep. The temperature this morning is -15 and snow tonight. I have to recover whatever we can.I'll be out all day so I won't be responding after this post. My son is 26 and his wife 23 . He is a big kid!! 6'3 tall and 225. Jeans, 38 or 40.His wife is a small. petite asian lady. I don't know her size , maybe a 6 .? only about 5'3 or 4. My son, myself and his wife are heading out to recover things we saw last night. I just they would have let us in there before they leveled the place. Sorry for the jump around paragraph's. If you would like, but I don't expect it as I know things are tight for most people.
